The Firm has built a real estate and real estate finance team which has developed significant expertise in this area of practice and offers creative and pragmatic solutions on all matters. We have both the technical as well as practical expertise to meet the business requirements of our clients.

We represent several developers, banks & financial institutions and private equity funds in real estate projects and transactions ranging from acquisition of real estate, development, leasing, funding, financing etc. and the regulatory compliances in respect of the same.

We advise developers and landowners on joint development projects, residential condominiums, commercial spaces, integrated townships, special economic zones, industrial parks, re-development projects, slum rehabilitation projects and various other real estate projects. From structuring transactions in light of the central and local regulatory framework, carrying out due diligence on the property, negotiating on behalf of our clients with counter parties to preparing sale kits – our team offers end to end solutions to developers.

Apart from issues under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 and the regulations thereunder, our lawyers also have an understanding of local laws of various states with respect to ownership, development controls, leasing, land ceiling, stamp duty and registration.

  9. Conducted title due diligence and advised Phoenix Mills Limited on acquiring 5.6 acres of mixed-use land in Alipore, Kolkata, for Rs. 400 crores.
