Mazag Andrabi

Mazag Andrabi is a Partner at Argus Partners and heads the firm’s Regulatory Disputes practice. With over 17 years of experience, she advises and represents domestic and international clients in complex regulatory, commercial, and infrastructure disputes, with a particular focus on the energy sector.

She is widely recognised for her work in electricity regulation, acting for renewable energy developers, utilities, and power sector participants on disputes involving tariff determination, open access, change in law, force majeure, extension of SCOD, banking and backing down of renewable power, enforcement of regulatory orders, and contractual claims under power purchase agreements. She regularly appears before State Electricity Regulatory Commissions, the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India.

Her practice also includes environmental and infrastructure disputes before the National Green Tribunal and the Supreme Court, involving environmental and coastal regulation clearances and regulatory compliance. In addition, Mazag has significant experience in telecom and broadcasting regulation, having represented broadcasters in disputes before TDSAT and the Supreme Court. She also represents clients in domestic and international arbitrations and advises on regulatory strategy, contractual interpretation, claims management, and dispute avoidance.

Prior to joining Argus Partners, Mazag was the founding partner of Andrabi & Co. She has previously worked with HSA Advocates and Karanjawala & Co., served as Additional Advocate General for the State of Jammu & Kashmir in New Delhi, and began her career assisting Mr. Ram Jethmalani, Senior Advocate, in landmark matters before the Supreme Court of India.
