Tushar is a part of the Corporate and M&A, Private Equity & Venture Capital practice in Bengaluru.

He has over a decade of experience advising a host of domestic and international venture capital funds, private equity funds, multinational corporations and founders on fundraises, investments, exits, joint ventures, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate structuring, employment and regulatory issues.

Tushar’s practice is particularly focused on technology-driven businesses. He advises clients across a diverse range of sectors, including fintech, SaaS, edtech, gaming, insurance, automotive, financial services, neo-banking and energy on mandates ranging from early-stage capital raises and business structuring to exits.

He is known for his hands-on, commercially pragmatic and solutions-driven approach to transaction execution.

Tushar holds an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Amity Law School.

  • Advised AppsForBharat, on its $20 million Series C funding round from Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, the Fundamentum Partnership, Elevation Capital, Peak XV Capital, Beenext and others, as well as the Company’s previous funding rounds.
  • Advised Exponent Energy on its $26.4 million Series B round led by Eight Roads Ventures, Lightspeed, TDK Ventures and 3one4 capital, as well as the Company’s previous funding rounds.
  • Advised SolarSquare Energy, on its $40 million Series B funding round from Lightspeed, Elevation Capital, Lightrock, Lower Carbon, Rainmatter and others, as well as the Company’s previous funding rounds.
  • Advised Sequoia Capital on multiple investments, including investments in Bijak (an agritech company with a B2B marketplace for agricultural commodities), Plum (an employee health insurance and wellness startup), Klub (fintech that focuses on providing growth capital) and CoLearn (an EdTech focused on math, physics, and chemistry lessons).
  • Advised Negen Capital on multiple investments, including investments in Blue Tokai (a specialty coffee roaster and café chain bringing farm to cup Indian coffee to consumers), Burger Singh (a quick service burger chain known for Indianized burgers with cross-country presence), Burma Burma (an award-winning premium Burmese restaurant & tea room chain), Dwija Foods (a packaged foods brand offering focused on convenience formats), Aham Housing Finance (a retail-focused housing finance company), R for Rabbit (a leading baby and kids products brand), Snapmint (a fintech platform that enables online shoppers to convert purchases into instant EMIs at checkout) and WLDD (formerly Wubba Lubba Dub Dub, a digital media company that creates lifestyle & pop culture content).
  • Advised Play Ventures on their investments in Elo Elo (a leading Indian social entertainment platform), PvX Partners (an investment and advisory firm that backs and supports early stage and growth stage companies) and Tier One Entertainment (an e-sports and gaming focused entertainment company).
  • Advised Mass Mutual Ventures on its investments in Clinikk (a subscription-based health insurance company) and Zluri (a SAAS operations management platform for IT teams).
  • Advised Skylark Drones (a drone solutions provider) on multiple funding rounds.
  • Advised Krafton, a South Korean gaming conglomerate, on its $14 million acquisition of Nautilus Mobile (a gaming developer).
  • Advised DailyNinja, a leading online platform in India for delivery of daily need consumer products on its acquisition by Supermarket Grocery Supplies Pvt Ltd (BigBasket).
  • Advised Qapita Fintech on its acquisition of ESOP Direct.
  • Advised SolarSquare Energy on its acquisition of PV Diagnostics (a utility-scale solar power company).
  • Advised Autorox and Autozilla, two advanced automotive aftermarket platforms for garage management and B2B parts commerce, on their collaboration with Bosch Mobility Platform and Solutions.
  • Advised BrightCHAMPS, a global EdTech venture focusing on life skills training for children, on its acquisition of Education10x (a financial literacy education platform for children).
  • Advised Tan90 Thermal, a cold chain solutions provider, on multiple fundraises.
  • Advised Goat Brand Labs, an e-commence venture that acquires and scales consumer brands, on its various D2C acquisitions in India.
  • Advised Cooper-Standard, one of the world’s leading automotive OEM’s on the transfer of its interest in its anti-vibrations business in India as part of a global restructuring.
  • Advised CLP Indian on its acquisition of a stake in two solar power projects in Maharashtra from Suzlon.
  • Advised Kameda Seika Co. Ltd, a Japanese market leader in manufacturing of rice crackers and listed on the Tokyo stock exchange, on its joint venture agreement with LT Foods (one of India’s leading branded rice makers).
