The Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”), based on representations received for extension of timelines for various regulatory filings and compliances for alternative investment funds (“AIFs”) and venture capital funds (“VCFs”), due to the ongoing second wave of the CoVID-19 pandemic and restrictions imposed by various state governments, has vide its circular dated May 31, 2021 (“Circular”) extended the due dates for regulatory filings by AIFs and VCFs, during the period ending March 2021 to July 2021 as prescribed under SEBI (Alternative Investment Funds) Regulations, 2012 and circulars issued thereunder, till September 30, 2021.
Accordingly, AIFs and VCFs can submit regulatory filings for the aforesaid periods, as applicable, on or before September 30, 2021.
